Silent Night, Feliz Navidad, & The First Noel

Wednesday.  More preparations today to make the apartment livable.  TJ Maxx and Bed, Bath & Beyond were helpful in this process — AND we can walk to these stores from our apartment.  Jim is staying there, but Rob and I retreat back to Hope Lodge each night.  It’s comfortable and there’s furniture!  The apt. has mattresses on frames, but that’s it.

Tonight we joined thousands of folks, walking slowly along the area where the balloons for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade are waiting in readiness for tomorrow morning.  They were already blown up and netted down.  The very cool thing was that it was such an orderly crowd, kids and parents, all ages of people.  And, there was Christmas music being played on the loud speakers, making it all the more festive and fun.  The songs in the title of this entry were played, among others, and we were singing along (well, Jim and I were…).  It was truly an evening for giving thanks!  Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
