Hair no more.

Saturday.  The furniture arrived today — soon, our empty apartment will feel like home.  There were a few damaged pieces; nothing that can’t be fixed.  Late this afternoon, Jim and I walked over to our convenient Home Depot for some necessary items.

Rob was warned about losing his hair.  Dr. Rosen said it would happen around two weeks after his chemo.  Well, it happened yesterday.  Last night he said he could tell it was coming out, so he took a shower and washed his hair, which just sealed the deal.  There was so much hair in the shower drain and so little hair left on his head!  Then today, we took the trimmer after what hair was left.  He continues to have an amazing attitude.  He seems to stay focused on the goal of fighting this tumor, and if it means being infused with medicine that kills fast growing cells in his body, so be it.  I pray that Rob’s treatment will be extremely effective on the tumor and cause it to shrink as soon as possible!

I have seen Rob’s picture sans hair on his site. I must say that I think he looks quite handsome! He still has a nice beard (does that stay?) and he looks, shall I say it?, sexy and stylish. Of course, our children are always beautiful to us, but just thought I’d give you a third person point of view. Thinking of you always.

Heather, I’m getting downright used to seeing Rob sans hair…! And, he looks quite good this way — of course, I AM his mother…..
