Weather report.

Thursday.  Wow — yesterday was a weather extravaganza here in NYC:  we had rain, snow, sleet, hail (lots of it!), and major lightning and thunder!  At least it felt like it was major, as I was walking home from the drugstore in the dark, under my small umbrella, being pelted by large-green-pea-sized hail, accompanied by lightning and loud thunder!  But, today there is beautiful sunshine, blue skies, white puffy clouds, and chilly 36-40 degree weather.  Suffice it to say we’re not having what you might call a normal springtime!

Rob had physical therapy today.  Karl comes to our apartment and gives Rob all sorts of difficult exercises.  As they get easier, then he ups the difficulty of the exercises.  I had experience with PT thirteen years ago, and it played a huge role in my recovery.  Without that first hand knowledge, I’m not sure I’d understand the whole import of it.  But, it is very important!

Proverbs 19:21  21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Thinking of you all tonight and each day. We send our love. I trust in God’s plan for Rob – he has been a courageous trooper! Will you email me your physical address when you get a moment? No hurry!!! Lots of love, Ellen

Speaking of the weather….wish you could see all the dogwoods and azaleas that are beginning to bloom around Dallas, on this 86 degree day! However, knowing Texas weather, there is the possibility that it could be snowing next week! Hope you are in for some lovely spring weather in NYC soon! The Scriptures that you share on your blog are encouraging and inspiring, as is your faith. Steve would agree with you about the importance of physical therapy! Love the mirror technique Rob is using to gain some relief from the phantom leg pain. Love and hugs to all of your family! Dix

We had brunch with Joan and Fanester on Friday and were glad to get updated info on Rob’s progress. Please be assured of our continued prayers for all of you. We also have Rob on our prayer list at church and pray for him each Wednesday night. His attitude and faith have been a source of inspiration for many!

It’s quite chilly and damp in Atlanta today but the azaleas and dogwoods are really coming out, and the wisteria vines are gorgeous.
